In India, the Nano small and marginal farmers have often been devoid of appropriate knowledge of farming interventions and updated technologies. They lack information on basic agriculture inputs, technological know-how and improved agricultural practices.
The awareness, availability, accessibility and accreditation criteria for this category of farmers have been overlooked. The ignorance of this aspect has cropped up as a major concern.
Agriroute Foundation and its Farmer Resource Centres are proving to be a one stop solution for its catchment farmers. The agriculture inputs, farming implements, rental machineries, vegetable nursery and soil testing facility are being made available for the farmers.
We ensure the availability of seeds, organic plant protection chemicals and fertilizers, machinery and hand tools. Our idea is to transform the vicious cycle of high input low income to low input high income for farmers while focusing on promoting the green chemistry and maintain a safe and healthy environment for generations to come.
Agriroute Foundation also plans to extend in aggregating surplus farm produce and provide forward linkages to its farmers thus helping them in lowering the transit costs and better output price realization. We work and support the activities in the field of water conservation, micro enterprise development, upliftment of women farmers and imparting training to farmers for a sustainable agriculture technology.
